The living digital ecosystem that unites and accelerates sustainable aviation worldwide

Launching in 2026

NetzeroFlightpath

Aviation's transition to sustainable alternatives currently faces multiple complex challenges:

The aviation sector accounts for about 2.5% of global CO₂ emissions and roughly 3.5% of human-induced warming (including contrails and other non-CO₂ effects). Yet, decarbonising this industry is far harder than most other sectors due to strict weight/safety constraints, long development cycles, and dependence on energy-dense fuels with limited mature alternatives. This, combined with passenger demand growing strongly, means that aviation's share of global warming can rise from 3.5% to over 20% by 2050 on the current trajectory.

Over the past year, NetZero FlightPath has engaged with all stakeholders across the sustainable aviation value-chain to understand the most prominent bottlenecks and pain points that currently limit progress most. Out of all these extensive discussions, there were certain aspects that were repeatedly highlighted:
  • Many brilliant technologies are being developed, but in a very fragmented and disconnected landscape with little coordination.
  • The transition requires cross-industry collaboration spanning aviation, energy, chemistry, battery tech, materials science, finance, policy and carbon markets.
  • Regulatory and certification frameworks are complex, differ significantly across jurisdictions and evolve frequently.
  • Investors lack trust, confidence and a standardised source to discover, understand and compare opportunities across different innovative technologies.
  • Startups are hitting funding walls and are forced to prioritise survival and perpetual fundraising over technical progress.
  • The sheer volume of specialised knowledge required, from fuel chemistry to carbon accounting and incentive structures, means professionals often spend months or years piecing together fragmented, costly training sessions. This complexity even deters new talent from entering the field.
  • The sector is too disconnected, too complex, too uncertain and too fragmented to move at the speed required to meet the goals set by the Paris Agreement.
  • We have built a digital platform that brings the entire ecosystem together in a continuous digital feedback loop. It is made up of six interconnected pillars, designed to deliver clear value to every stakeholder and to improve how we all work together toward our common goal. Feel free to explore the pillars below.

6. NetZero Deal Room

The Deal Room is a token-gated investor space with machine learning-ranked opportunities. The model is based on profile data, historical aviation and climate tech outcomes, selected preferences and a data stream from the NetZero platform. This system was carefully designed to give investors more guidance and confidence in finding a good fit, which relieves fundraising stress from startups.
